Colin Locke, Executive Chairman, brings us news from Krakatoa’s Zopkhito Antimony-Gold Project in Georgia – a forgotten Soviet-era mine now reborn through modern exploration. The company is converting a historic foreign estimate of 225,000 tonnes @ 11.6% Sb and 7.1 million tonnes @ 3.7 g/t Au – around 850,000 ounces of gold – into a maiden JORC resource. Dual diamond rigs and drone LiDAR are mapping 1950s adits, validating grades, and positioning Krakatoa as a key player in Europe’s critical minerals corridor. ‘It’s a unique opportunity to secure a strategic mineral in Europe’s own backyard,’ says Locke.

Aureka (ASX:AKA) Bringing Victoria’s Gold to Life

James Gurry, Managing Director, presents Aureka’s Irvine Project in the Stawell Corridor, where the company recently returned its highest-grade intercept to date – 0.3m @ 183 g/t Au within 10m @ 12.1 g/t Au. The result confirms the Tenacity Fault as a major high-grade structure within the 304koz @ 2.43 g/t resource, just 16km from the Stawell Mine. ‘These results prove Irvine has the grade and growth potential to stand out in Victoria’s next gold wave,’ says Gurry.
