Two WA gold Hubs, Queensland’s biggest porphyry copper project, and applied AI drone tech you need to see to believe…
Presenting Maritana Minerals (ASX:MRT), Alma Metals (ASX:ALM), Gold Arc Resources (ASX:GA8) and RocketDNA (ASX:RKT)
In order of the coin toss.
Grant Haywood MD of Maritana Minerals (ASX:MRT) presents a classic Kalgoorlie gold story developed by trusted hands. It’s a gold growth story for $270m Maritana, run by blue bloods, and with production looming at its Black Swan Processing Hub near Kalgoorlie-Boulder. Kal veteran GR Engineering (founded by Daniel Ricciardo’s dad btw) is on site, full construction targets Q3 2026, and first gold H2 2027. Drills are also turning at the nearby Wilsons prospect, one of many satellite deposits that can truck to this hub using the fleet of low cost haulage companies servicing the ‘Eastern Goldfields’ in our West. This one’s moving.

Frazer Tabeart, MD of Alma Metals (ASX:ALM), has Queensland’s (first?) porphyry copper on the hook. Armed with PhD from the Royal School of Mines, 16 years with WMC Resources across four continents — Frazer now leads Alma’s Briggs Copper Project, a very large porphyry copper-molybdenum deposit 60km west of Gladstone, served by road, rail, gas and power. With a preliminary feasibility study underway, and infill drilling just commenced, and Briggs is on the move. Alma says it’s the largest undeveloped and best-leveraged ASX copper project in Queensland.

Paul Stephen MDof Gold Arc Resources (ASX:GA8) is building another highly prospective WA’s Eastern Goldfields position. Co-founder of Crusader Resources Paul Stephen now has production at Leonora and Kookynie in his sights. With AUD gold price now firming around $200/gram many things have become possible. $42m Gold Arc has deposits, ounces and acreage and is aggregating resources fast across its ‘Leonora South Hub’ using the sophisticated haulage and toll milling model unique to the Eastern Goldfields where virtually everything mined over the last century now offers more dollars from deeper longer extensions and lower grade deposits.

Christopher Clark, MD of RocketDNA (ASX:RKT) will unwrap the power of autonomous in mining. We see drones doing amazing things in the news but AI drone technology is being adopted traditionally ‘slow adopting’ sector and is makes real money. RocketDNA’s BHP Mitsubishi Alliance deployment is one of Australia’s largest continuous autonomous drone operations yet. Q2 FY26 revenue: $2.53 million, up 52% year-on-year, second consecutive quarter of positive cash flow. A fresh MOU with Deswik puts drone data inside mine planning workflows. We will see eye-opening applications and hear about future. Why drive into your pit when a drone can flash out and send live footage to you in a heartbeat? The industry didn’t know it needed this — now it can’t do without it.
