Dominion has been a public listed company for some 35 years and has been involved in many facets of the resources business from oil and gas and sapphire mining to a significant gold producer. Dominion really came to prominence in the 1990's when it was a major Australian gold producer, producing at the rate of 450,000 ounces of gold per year. This profile ended in 1995 with the sale of the gold assets to Plutonic Resources.

Since then the company has had, through necessity, a number of re-inventions and is once again carving a niche in the Australian gold mining sector with its Challenger operation in South Australia. The Challenger operation produced 108,191ounces of gold at a cost of $309per ounce during FY2007. It's combined resources and reserves total 1.1million ounces and Challenger is recognized as one of Australia's premier mid tier gold mines.
Dominion has cash, bullion and investments totaling in excess of $45million and is well positioned to take advantage of its vast exploration portfolio and other opportunities that it may identify.
