Wayne McCrae, Cudeco & the Rocklands Project

It was about time for a discovery in the Mt Isa - Cloncurry Province. And what a discovery the Rocklands Project and its Las Minerale and Double Oxide deposits are shaping into. If the last hole announced LMDH07 is anything to go by, Wayne McCrae's miners of the future are going to need gas axes to cut the ore, such is the richness of native copper.
Like Forrest's New Force in Iron in the West, McCrae's New Force in Copper has had its share of controversy and regulatory eyebrow raising. Similarly, the critics are now being silenced by results and it seems only a matter of time before Cudeco brings on line for Queensland a major open cut copper mine.

Wayne is a spirited and veteran explorer of the district who fought Rio over interests at Silver King/Century and fought to save his own life when a crashing helicopter all but severed both of his legs at the Millenium Project - so named as a one-up on Century. Then he led the charge into Tanzania. He takes a step backwards for no-one and is guaranteed to give a lively and well-attended presentation. Book now if you don't want to miss out.
